High urinary albumin predicts risk of new MI in blacks

A high albumin-to-creatine ratio may predict an imminent MI in black patients, but not in white patients, new research suggests. More research is needed to untangle what lies behind these racial differences and whether identifying at-risk patients could improve outcomes.
