Was President Bush's cardiac stent necessary?

I'm going to say straight off that I have no idea and not for one moment am I criticising any decision made by President Bush or his doctors but the title comes from a piece in the Washington Posthttp://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/president-bushs-unnecessary-heart-surgery/2013/08/09/c91c439c-0041-11e3-9a3e-916de805f65d_story.htmlwhich raises some very valid points. Is it the case that too much testing leads to too much treatment and once we know something is abnormal we are unable to leave alone both as doctors and as patients?sadian
