ConclusionsAdjunctive use of aPDT provides similar clinical improvements in PD and CAL when compared with conventional periodontal therapy alone in patients with moderate to severe periodontitis. The statistical improvements shown in studies is equivocal as to whether this translates to any presumptive clinical benefit.
