In exchange, they indoctrinate people into a religious program. Rehabs have only a slightly better success rate that meetings alone. AA meetings have about a 5% success rate, the same as quiiting on one’s own, however many more people quit on their own before ever getting to AA or treatment:”There is a high rate of recovery among alcoholics and addicts, treated and untreated.
