Couple Sues Monsanto For Cancer Caused By Exposure To Herbicide Roundup

FRESNO, Calif. - A couple sued Monsanto Co. in California federal court on Oct. 27 contending that glyphosate, the active ingredient in the company's herbicide Roundup, caused one of them to develop cancer. The couple also argues that Monsanto knew that its product was toxic (Jesus Pimentel Lopez, et al. v. Monsanto Company, No. 19-775, E.D. Calif.).
