International Union of Psychological Science Achievement Against the Odds Award The Achievement Against the Odds Award seeks to honor a researcher or team of researchers who succeeded in conducting research under extremely difficult circumstances, possibly involving great personal risk or hardship to the greater good of scientific research, the scientific community, and/or the general public. This award is related primarily to attributes such as resiliency against extraordinary odds; particular importance will also be given to the long-term impact of the work in question. Presentation of the award will be at the 31st International Congress of Psychology (ICP) in Yokohama, Japan, July 2016. The awardee will be invited to present an address at the Congress. Funds to cover travel and accommodation related to attending the award ceremony will be provided. The deadline for nominations is 31 March 2015.
