Although they have no biologic or clinical significance, unique morphology and unfamiliarity with these structures are often confused with malignancy, lithiasis and parasitic infestation. We herein report a case of milk of calcium renal cyst with Liesegang structures in an autopsy done on a pancreatic cancer patient who received neoadjuvant chemotherapy and was enrolled in a clinical trial involving irreversible electroporation (IRE). This case reports highlights the relationship between “milk of calcium cysts” in radiology and “Liesegang rings”, in pathology and is the first report of such structures in a patient who received IRE therapy.
