David M. Rubenstein Rare Book & Manuscript Library History of Medicine Travel Grants Dates to Remember ■ Deadline for applications: January 30, 2015 by 5pm EST ■ Announcement of grant recipients: No later than March 31, 2015 ■ Grants must be used between April 2015 and May 2016 ■ Please note that the Rubenstein Library will be closed to the public from July 1, 2015 - August 23, 2015, while we relocate to our newly renovated space. These closure dates are subject to change The History of Medicine Collections offers research grants of up to $1,000 to researchers whose work would benefit from access to the historical medical collections at the Rubenstein Rare Book & Manuscript Library. Who is eligible? • Faculty, graduate or undergraduate students and independent scholars with a research project requiring the use of materials held by the History of Medicine Collections • All applicants must reside outside of a 100-mile radius of Durham, NC. Grant money may be used for the following: • transportation expenses (including air, train or bus ticket charges; car rental; mileage using a personal vehicle; parking fees) • accommodations • meals We will reimburse you for the above expenses once you have completed your research visit(s) and have submitted original receipts.
