The Curse Of Capability

Help! There Is Too Much To Do! Feeling overwhelmed? Don’t worry you are not alone.  Many of us struggle with what I describe as The Curse Of Capability.  Are you suffering with the curse? Do people often rely on your ability to get things done? Do you have the uncanny knack for pulling things off, even in tight time frames? Do you constantly worry something will slip through the cracks? Do you often find yourself thinking about all of the things you didn’t get done, rather than enjoying those you completed? These are sure signs! When you are considered a capable person, you are asked to take on more, which is of course flattering.  The problem comes when we take on more and more – until we have committed to the point we are no longer capable and now need to struggle to keep up. The stress of that struggle to keep up is a key component to Juggling Stress: A Busy Woman’s Guide to Sanity and Health.  During that program audiences work to determine the three most important things in life.  Focusing on just three priorities provides some boundaries for taking on new commitments.
