NUTRISHIELD project 1st workshop on Optimized nutrition for infants and lactating mothers - 26 September 2019, Valencia, Spain

NUTRISHIELD is an EU funded H2020 project. NUTRISHIELD aims at creating a personalised platform for the young. The platform will consist of novel methods & techniques, which analyse a wide range of biomarkers related to nutrition and health disorders. Based on findings, the platform then uses ICT, by expanding existing nutrition assistive mobile apps, in order to provide feedback and steering people towards a better nutrition. This takes into account the way each person responds to different nutrients and food types, by also analysing phenotype, genome expression, microbiome composition, health condition, mental & psychological condition, as well as financial capabilities for procuring food. NUTRISHIELD organises its 1st pilot workshop on Thursday, September 26, 2019 in Valencia, Spain at Health Research Institute La Fe, Hospital La Fe (HULAFE) Tower A-Auditorium (online at bit.ly/2kqD6pV). The workshop focuses on one of the NUTRISHIELD use cases, that of Personalised nutrition of lactating mothers, aiming at augmenting the nutritional value of human milk (HM). This focuses on prematurely born infants, which have increased needs in supplied nutrients.
