The function of PLCγ1 in developing mouse mDA system

In this process, spatiotemporally well-coordinated intracellular signaling is a prerequisite for proper neuronal network formation. Thus, intense interest has focused on investigating the signaling mechanisms in neuronal structure formation that link the activation of receptors to the control of cell shape and motility. Recent studies suggest that Phospholipase C gamma1 (PLCγ1), a signal transducer, plays key roles in nervous system development by mediating specific ligand-receptor systems. In this overview of the most recent advances in the field, we discuss the mechanisms by which extracellular stimuli trigger PLCγ1 signaling and, the role PLCγ1 in nervous system development.
