In asymptomatic late preterm and term infants, with neonatal hypoglycaemia, is the administration of 40% glucose gel effective in establishing normoglycaemia and reducing neonatal admissions?: A literature review

ConclusionAlthough with limitations, the studies add to the growing evidence of support for 40% glucose gel as a safe, simple and effective intervention for asymptomatic hypoglycaemic infants. Future large-scale studies may increase the evidence and support the development of a national protocol/guideline.
