Panel Reverses; Flint Residents Entitled To Have Water Restitution Claims Heard

DETROIT - An appellate panel in Michigan on Aug. 22 reversed and remanded a lawsuit by residents of the city of Flint, Mich., who sued the city for reimbursement of the money they paid for drinking water service on grounds that they should not have had to pay for water that was not potable due to the lead-contaminated water crisis in the city (Doris Collins, et al. v. Flint, No. 345203, Mich. App., 2019 Mich. App. LEXIS 4913).
