Answering the Question ‘I think i have a world war 2 token?’

Here a good question I found in the comments section of a previous post. ‘dejabooalex’ asks us the question: my grandmother gave me a bank and it had a token in it and on the front it says;”To Thine Own Be True” on the outside circle and on the inside it says ” Unity Service Recovery” and in the very middle it has a “II”(thats why i think its a world war 2 token )on the back it has this prayer (its a little hard to read);” God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference”i think this is a WW2 token, but if it isn’t, what is it? If it is, whats it for?(died in battle, etc.)(im in my teens and my grandmote is in her 80′s.oh yeah, im DEFINATELY not going to sell it, but whatever sort of token it is, howmuch is it worth? Answer: The token has the serenity prayer on it which is a hallmark of alcoholics anonymous (AA), also used by groups such as cocaine anonymous. Unity Service Recovery is another hallmark of AA. So probably an AA token. Look at AA website. Tagged:Military
