a 7-year-old in Akron, Ohio who was bitten on her ear, shoulder, chest and stomach and required surgery after she was mauled by a neighbor's rottweiler while she was riding her pink scooter down her street.
a 4-year-old in Prairie City, Iowa who died after she was mauled by an American Staffordshire terrier (Amstaff), which is closely related to pit bulls, and was owned by her babysitter.
a 10-month-old in Middleton, Idaho who was unintentionally shot in the face by a 3-year-old sibling who found a loaded handgun in a car at their home.
a 7-year-old in Wilmington, Delaware who was unintentionally shot in the hand by his 11-year-old brother with a handgun they found in their home, in a high cabinet.
a 10-year-old in Vicksburg, Mississippi who died after he was unintentionally shot in the head.
a 4-year-old in Donald, Oregon who died after he was unintentionally shot in the abdomen.
a 2-year-old in Greenville, South Carolina who was hospitalized and required surgery after he unintentionally shot himself in his upper body after reaching into his dad's pocket and grabbing his pistol.
