Mental health awareness week event

As part of Mental Health Awareness Week 2013, Mental Health North East and the Houses of Parliament’s Outreach Service are hosting an event to bring together local politicians and people with an interest in mental health issues.  The event will take place from 10.30am to 1pm (registration from 10am) on Friday 17thMay at the Middlesbrough Teaching and Learning Centre, Cargo Fleet Lane, Middlesbrough TS3 8PE The event will give attendees practical and useful information on how to work with politicians on mental health issues, and provide an opportunity to debate issues related to mental health with representatives from Parliament and local government.  It will cover/ include:  How to work with MPs and Councillors Opportunities to raise issues relating to mental health in Parliament and local government Group discussions and question time session Confirmed to attend this event are:  Kevan Jones MP (North Durham) Ian Swales MP (Redcar) Grahame Morris MP (Easington, member of the House of Commons Health Committee)  Further names will be announced soon To book a place at this event, please click on the link below: Mental Health Awareness Week event, Middlesbrough, 17th May For further information, please contact Daniel Wood wooddan@parliament.uk or Neil Kelly (MHNE)
