Portland Paramedics Assaulted on Call

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) — Two paramedics were assaulted early Monday while on a call helping a woman with a medical issue, Portland police said. Robert McDonald, the Multnomah County Operations Manager for AMR, told KOIN 6 News the incident happened around 1:40 a.m. at a MAX stop at North Interstate and Prescott. The 2 women paramedics responded to a call to help a sick woman. When the paramedics got there, the patient was compliant and agreed to go to the hospital. But as the paramedics were getting her onto the gurney she changed her mind. MORE
