Plantar wart surgery..........

About 2 months ago, I had plantar wart (verruca) surgery, i.e. surgery to remove a plantar wart from the ball of my foot. The surgery itself went well, although I did need stitches which i wasn't expecting. I did know about the risk of scarring before the procedure but I'd had enough of the wart being in my foot for 2/3 years. Now, 2 months later, the ball of my foot is virtually painless to walk on, but when I apply a lot of pressure to the ball of my foot, or when I press it hard against the floor or the wall, I can feel some slight pain. Also after I exercise or if I walk for a long time the ball of the foot is quite painful, but not extraordinarily painful. The surgery site itself looks good, there is a scar and the surrounding skin is a white colour and it is slightly lumpy, but the skin is a bit hard compared to the surrounding skin in that area. I was wondering if the pain was due to scarring or is it just normal? What does scar tissue in that area look/feel like? Hopefully in a few more months the pain will completely go away. I've read that it takes up to a year for a scar to fully develop, so does that mean the pain will stop after that time?
