swelling on upper back

I had the flu about a month ago, and developed pleurisy. I have continued to have some discomfort from the the pleurisy I think. I can feel some movement and little popping. Last night I developed a softball size swelling on my upper back very quickly, after a strenous day, and then the swelling subsided fairly quickly. I still have some swelling and some pain in the area.
