Transcriptome profiling of the low-salinity stress responses in the gills of the juvenile Pseudopleuronectes yokohamae

This study is the first transcriptomic study conducted on marbled flounder, and it revealed many novel sequences for further biological analyses. In addition, the candidate genes identified in the gene expression analysis provided insights into responses to salinity change and molecular mechanisms underlying osmoregulation in the gills of marbled flounder.Graphical abstract
