Answer to the question: Is being gay a choice and if not, people are just born that way, how can you explain..?

It’s Q&A time again. This one comes from ‘C4′ who is asking… that how you were raised doesn’t have anything to do with how you became? If a child is showing “gay tendencies” aren’t the parents supposed to steer them away from that? I know that if my children started doing something else that I don’t agree with, i.e. stabbing random things, being depressed in their room, drawing demonic pictures, etc.. I would steer them away from that. I just don’t understand how people can think that this was not a choice all the way. Even if I wanted to go start doing all kinds of heroin or if I wanted to go start killing people because that is what I felt was right, i wouldn’t do it because it is wrong. I don’t care about legally wrong, or religiously wrong (I am not religious), it is just wrong. How is choosing to be gay or not to be gay any different? And how can someone compare this “gay movement” to something as meaningful and important in history as the civil rights movement?Admittedly I believe that being gay is a choice, but I am open minded enough to hear the other side of the story as well. I am looking for understanding, not any hatred.Im not sayin that parents tell their kids to be gay at all, I am just using that as an example.. Like a boy wearing mom’s clothes and stuff like that. I know things like that happen, but are you not supposed to tell your kids how it is supposed...
