Judge Grants Sale Of Drinking Water Providers In Prolonged Contamination Lawsuit

SAN JOSE, Calif. - A federal judge in California on June 25 ordered the sale of five drinking water systems to a community services district after those water providers were placed in to receivership as a result of a long-standing federal lawsuit over the original provider's failure to comply with a drinking water law that regulates chemical contamination (United States of America v. Alisal Water Corp., et al., No. 97-20099, N.D. Calif., 2019 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 106307).
