California Water Agency: 3M, Others Tainted Water With Polyfluoroalkyl Substances

CHARLESTON, S.C. - The California-American Water Co. on June 21 sued 3M Co. and others in South Carolina federal court contending that it is liable for groundwater contamination by a variety of polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) (California-American Water Company v. The 3M Company, et al., No. 19-1784, D. S.C.).
