Q&A: Since 2002 I’ve been taking opiates and bennys abusing them of course?

I was looking through some old posts and found this question. I thought it was a good one so I wanted to post an answer here. The question comes from ‘Chris’: should I be going to a state run rehab or should I cold turkey I’ve done it before I know I can do it again but I just keep falling into the same rut I will never get well if I don’t receive the proper treatment.could I just get the input of the addicts who have overcome this crap and the others who are still going through this.much obliged and God bless all of you thank you Answer: I’d love to be able to tell you that “treatment” would help … but it won’t. The only person that is able to help you is yourself – your decision to quit being a druggie. The cure rate for chronic alcoholism is less than 5%; it is lower for drug addicts.Addiction and drug abuse is a choice and not doing so is also a choice. No treatment is going to alter your love of the drugged feeling. If you want to have a normal life expectancy, you have to quit drugs. Tagged:Medicine
