Context of sexuality in France. 2006).ObjectiveIn view of this high prevalence, it seemed important to explore the expectations of these women during a general medical consultation in order to improve their care.MethodThis qualitative study was conducted through semi-structured individual interviews conducted between April and December 2015. The interviews were conducted with 14 adult women who had experienced sexual violence. They were between 19 and 50 years of age and had varied socio-epidemiological profiles.ResultsThe general practitioner was perceived as a primary care professional for them, and they expected mainly from him/her: a non-judgmental listening, a referral to psychologists and specialized associations, as well as certain precautions during the clinical examination.
