YaduvanshiAbstractA proximity coupled graphene patch based two-port multi-input-multi-output (MIMO) antenna with pattern diversity is implemented for THz applications. The MIMO and diversity performance parameters of the antenna like envelop correlation coefficient (ECC), diversity gain (DG) and mean effective gain (MEG) and total active reflection coefficient are calculated and found within the acceptable limits. The antenna offers the ECC <0.01, DG ≈10dB, and MEG ≤−3dB. The antenna provides the 10-dB impedance bandwidth of 6.06% (1.76 −, 1.87 THz). The isolation between the ports of the proposed MIMO antenna remains more than 25 dB in the operating passband. The aspect ratio of graphene patch and physical parameters of the antenna are selected for obtaining the single mode operation with the resonance of TM12, mode. The utilization of the graphene material provides the flexibility in tuning the antenna response.
