Melamine and food safety: a 10-year review

Some of these children developed kidney injury and even died. This had serious effects in China and the world, causing many people to become concerned about food safety issues. More than 10 years have passed since this incident, but food safety events continue to occur worldwide. We systematically reviewed the melamine incident, the harm caused by melamine to the human body, and its impact as well as the lessons and prospects on food safety.
