Minnesota City, 3M Settle Tainted Groundwater Case For $2.7 Million

LAKE ELMO, Minn. - The city of Lake Elmo, Minn., and the 3M Co. on May 21 issued a joint press release announcing that they have reached an agreement in principle to settle a groundwater contamination lawsuit for $2.7 million. As part of the settlement, 3M will transfer ownership of 180 acres near the city's public works facility (City of Lake Elmo v. 3M Company, No. 16-2557, D. Minn.).
