Academic study skills in the 21st Century: "looking forward to the future"

OverviewThis conference will focus on the recent growth in the provision of Academic and Study Skills within the Higher Education sector and explore innovative ways to build upon this growth in the future. It should appeal to all those in the Higher Education sector working with Academic Study Skills and be an opportunity to establish a network. The conference will be held in the English language and entry is free.Proposal SubmissionsAll and any topics relating to Academic Study Skills are welcome for proposals. Suggested subjects could include (but are not limited to):Third-space Professionalism and Academic Study SkillsDifferent Models of Provision (autonomous centres or embedded within academic departments') - sharing case studies of our own institutionsStudy Skills for Life - providing skills for students to use beyond their degreeStudy Skills and ITStudent Support - encouraging retention and widening participationHigher Education Learning and Teaching for Student Employability and Success in the WorkplaceWorking with International StudentsProposals for a 20 minute presentation should be no longer than 200 words.
