“The WorldWide Telescope”- A presentation by Harvard Astronomer Alyssa Goodman

In her presentation, Harvard Astronomer Alyssa Goodman will take her audience on interactive tours of the Universe using the WorldWide Telescope (WWT), covering topics ranging from Galileo’s understanding of our Solar System to our modern understanding of the structure of the distant Universe. Goodman has collaborated with the creators of WWT at Microsoft Research since its creation in 2008. The free WWT computer program is a stunningly beautiful tool offering immersive views of the sky and multimedia links to interactive descriptions and explanations of millions of celestial objects. WWT is used both in astrophysical research, and to educate the public about Astronomy and Science.
