Femtosecond laser –assisted cataract surgery versus conventional cataract surgery comparison

The study by Lee et  al.1 compared the differences between femtosecond laser–assisted cataract surgery and conventional phacoemulsification in patients with multifocal intraocular lenses (IOLs) (Tecnis ZLB00, Abbott Medical Optics, Inc.). It comprised 22 patients (26 eyes) in the conventional group and 17 patients ( 23 eyes) in the femtosecond laser–assisted group. The study stated that the aberration profile (total root mean square [RMS], tilt, and RMS higher-order aberrations) and patient satisfaction were statistically better in the femtosecond laser–assisted group.
