Call for Nominations: 2015 Council on Community Pediatrics Job Lewis Smith Award Submission Deadline: February 28, 2015 The Job Lewis Smith Award recognizes lifelong outstanding career achievement in community pediatrics. The award is named for Job Lewis Smith, MD, one of the founding fathers of the American Pediatric Society and chief pioneer of American pediatrics. The award recipient will be honored at the Council on Community Pediatrics Awards Event at the 2015 AAP National Conference and Exhibition in Washington, DC. The award includes an honorarium, one-day conference registration fee, and reimbursement for airfare, 2 hotel nights, and 2 days of meals. Award Eligibility -- For consideration, a nominee must be a pediatrician, a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a resident of United States or Canada. -- Nominees are not required to be members of the Council on Community Pediatrics; however, preference is given to Council members. -- Members of the Council on Community Pediatrics Executive Committee and the AAP Board of Directors are not eligible to receive this award during their term of service. -- Deceased persons are not eligible for awards. -- An individual may only receive one Council on Community Pediatrics award per year.
