Defining ground rules for echocardiography in intensive and acute cardiovascular care

Echocardiograpy has become the primary imaging tool for patients with unstable cardiovascular diseases (CVD) in the acute setting. In a new recommendations paper the EACVI have joined forces with the Acute Cardiovascular Care Association (ACCA), to outline the practical applications of echocardiography in acute clinical situations and consider the standards of training necessary to deliver the service.
