Biostatistics is the development and use of statistical methods for medical and biological datasets including, but not limited to applications in experimental design, quantitative biology, epidemiology, medical informatics, nutrition, evolutionary biology, sequence bioinformatics, genomics, metabolomics, and systems biology.
