Development of a loop-mediated isothermal amplification assay for Vibrio cholerae O1 and O139

It was designed for recognizing Vibrio cholerae O1/O139, where atpA, rfbN, and wfbR genes were adopted. The assay specifically detected the target with sensitivities of 5–67 copies per reaction in 1 h. The assay will aid rapid detection of the cholera bacterium.
