periods for more than 3 weeks

i am 20 years old. i have been experiencing irregular periods for quite long. mostly my periods are delayed and sometimes they are accompanied by pains too. but i am experiencing this for the first time. this months (dec) period too was delayed but now it has lasted for more than 3 weeks. thought i am not experiencing any pain and even the bleeding is not too much but i am worried. please let me know more about this.
