Clinical effectiveness of neoadjuvant chemotherapy in advanced gastric cancer: an updated meta-analysis of 12 randomized controlled trials

Patients with locally advanced gastric cancer (AGC) have a poor outcome. However, the efficacy of neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC) for improvement of survival and prognosis is still controversial and no definite conclusion has been drawn from randomized controlled trials (RCTs).We performed an updated meta-analysis to assess the efficacy and safety of NAC in the treatment of AGC.
