Advanced prostate cancer presents a diagnostic challenge to clinicians. Though prostate cancer prevalence may be declining it still remains the second highest cause of cancer death1. The treatment of prostate cancer in advanced stages requires significant intervention including surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and supportive care, and remains a major public health problem.
