This study aimed to analyze the restrictive aspects of the principle of integral care. It is an evaluative study, guided by the fourth-generation approach, in the scenario of a municipality in the Northeastern Brazil. It involved managers, FHSN professionals, FHS professionals and users, totaling 27 participants. For the construction of the discursive material we used semi-structured interviews, operating the Hermeneutic-Dialectic Circle. The empirical material gave rise to four categories: Fragility of the link with the territory; Challenges of multidisciplinary teamwork; Lack of competencies for FHSN performance and Logistic Support Disability. The study evidences as a restrictive factor of importance FHSN ’ s actions concerning integral care, the fragility of the link between health teams and those with the population, as well as the lack of skills of professionals, whose importance is expressed in the results.
