MicroRNAs in Virus-induced Tumorigenesis and IFN system
MiRNAs are small, non-coding, regulatory RNAs that are 19-25 nucleotides in length. Over 2500 miRNA molecules have been identified within the human genome so far (june 2014: http://www.mirbase.org/). MiRNAs can target multiple complementary mRNAs to control the expression of the majority of mammalian genes [1–3].
