Diagnosing and dealing with childhood depression: a review

This article aims at describing the concept and evolution of unipolar depression. The etiology, clinical features, sequelae and management of childhood depression have been discussed in detail. To conclude, childhood depression is an entity that is recurrent, associated with co-morbidity and results in long-term adverse sequelae. Hence, early identification and intervention are the core strategies.
