Grants for students studying medicine as a second degree

Hi everyone, I've just received a grant from the Leather Sellers Charity to put towards my tuition fees of £9,000 a year. As you know, graduates on 5 year courses do not qualify for a loan from student finance. I have managed to save up a big chunk of the £36K required to be able to study medicine (as the 5th year is paid for by the NHS) but this wasn't enough so I applied to this charity. If you are also struggling to make ends meet, then think about applying here: Educational Awards It won't cover the cost of the whole degree but they offer up to £4,000 a year which is huge really! They have actually asked me to spread the word about their charity to other hard up students because this year, they have had their lowest number of applications which I find baffling! Good luck everyone. 2nd year medical student
