Shashihushan Abstract Ankyloglossia or tongue-tie is a relatively benign condition that causes difficulties in normal functioning of the tongue due to an anatomic variation in the lingual frenum, leading to the formation of thick and short frenum. This can be corrected with simple surgical procedures. Oligodontia is the developmental absence of six teeth or more, excluding third molars. It can be isolated or non-syndromic and/or can be a part of a syndrome. The present case report describes an 8-year-old boy with a rare occurrence of a combination of ankyloglossia with isolated oligodontia in his permanent dentition with no apparent systemic complications.
