A comparative study has been made between theoretical, experimental as well as the CFBP network analysis. In the theoretical analysis Finite element method has been used for the calculation of natural frequencies with the help of various shape functions as well as the stiffness matrix. The results of natural frequencies, using theoretical analysis, that has been trained to the CFBP network for further analysis. In this network there are three inputs and two outputs. The first three relative natural frequencies are the inputs and the relative crack depth and relative crack location are the outputs. After obtaining the results from the network analysis, it has been validated through experimental analysis. It is found that the results are in close agreement with each other.
