Potential Role of Positron Emission Tomography/Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Gastrointestinal and Abdominal Malignancies: Preliminary Experience
This article (1) reviews the established role and value of PET and MRI as individual imaging modalities in the workup of certain oncologic diseases within the abdomen and (2) reports our initial experience in this field to provide a perspective of the potential future role and expected value of PET-MR in these clinical scenarios.
