Management of severe musculoskeletal trauma following a dog mauling attack in a nonagenarian

We present a case of a 92-year-old woman who sustained severe musculoskeletal trauma to the bilateral upper and lower extremities following a mauling attack by her two pet Boston Terriers. Patterns of injury and risk factors for dog bite-related injuries, as well as important clinical considerations in the medical and surgical management of dog bite injuries are discussed.
