Mahendra, Gaurav Gangwani, Ajit Yadav, Arun GuptaAbstractPercutaneous selective Arterial Embolization is increasingly being used to control intractable hemorrhage in emergency setting. Here we describe management of a patient of post Caeserean section bleed from left Inferior epigastric artery who presented with vaginal bleeding, abdominal wall haematoma, dissecting into peritoneal cavity and resulting in hemoperitoneum.CT Angiography demonstrated extravasation of contrast from left Inferior epigastric artery. Selective embolization of the arterial bleeder was successfully performed achieving hemostasis. This case suggests that in a case of post LSCS bleed with abdominal wall hematoma one should be aware of the possibility of inferior epigastric artery injury and consider early angiographic embolization when a life-threatening abdominal wall hematoma develops.
