One in four people between the age of 20 and 65years are affected by hypertension in France, although as many as 50% are not even aware they have it. Indeed, high blood pressure (HBP) is rarely accompanied by any symptoms and thus is not always detected in time to minimize the risks associated with this chronic condition. As much as it is essential to screen for hypertension and treat the condition, it is also crucial that those with hypertension receive regular check-ups to avoid its associated health complications. This is the driving force behind the creation of corporate HBP screening programme Vigisanté, an intelligent, connected healthcare call center. Employees undertake HBP screening at work. Then, if they are diagnosed with hypertension, the programme provides medical services in their own home.
