Purpose The study aimed to assess the feasibility of telemonitoring follow-up of heart (HF) patients and the possibility of optimising treatment at home. Methods Eighty-three heart failure patients were enrolled for the follow-up during or just after decompensation. Telemonitoring data was recorded over a 14-day period and included standard measurements: weight, blood pressure and single-channel electrocardiogram (ECG) for analysing heart rate and conduction times. We evaluated feasibility of this monitoring and the benefit of adjusting patients’ treatment according the results in order to optimise treatment. Results The population comprised 29 women and 54 men, with a mean age of 78years. Forty-one percent have preserved systolic function (FE 56%) and 59% have systolic dysfunction (FE 34%). BNP at inclusion is 930. Fifty-seven percent presented with atrial fibrillation (AF), 22% with hypertension and 27% with coronary diseases. NYHA=3. Follow-up comprised 14days±7days.
