Effect of radiotherapy for rectal cancer on ovarian androgen production

ConclusionRT decreased levels of androgens predominantly derived from the ovaries, whereas androgens of mainly adrenal origin remained unchanged.  Reduction in ovarian androgens may be associated with reduced sexual desire.
